The turbulent viscosity, $\mu_t$, is computed from


 \mu_t = \rho \widetilde{\nu} f_{v1} (4.3-2)

where the viscous damping function, $f_{v1}$, is given by


 f_{v1} = \frac{\chi^3}{\chi^3 + C_{v1}^3} (4.3-3)

and


 \chi \equiv \frac{\widetilde{\nu}}{\nu} (4.3-4)
