19.7 Volume Adaption

As mentioned in this section in the separate User's Guide , it is best for both accuracy and convergence to have a mesh in which the changes in cell volume are gradual. If the mesh creation or adaption process results in a mesh that does not have this property, the mesh can be improved by using volume adaption with the option of refining, based on either the cell volume or the change in volume between the cell and its neighbors.
