24.3.7 Modeling Solidification/Melting

If you are including melting or solidification in your VOF calculation, note the following:

• It is possible to model melting or solidification in a single phase or in multiple phases.

• For phases that are not melting or solidifying, you must set the latent heat ( $L$), liquidus temperature ( $T_{\rm liquidus}$), and solidus temperature ( $T_{\rm solidus}$) to zero.
