3.2.1 The Sliding Mesh Concept

As discussed in Section  3.2, the sliding mesh model allows adjacent meshes to slide relative to one another. In doing so, the mesh faces do not need to be aligned on the mesh interface. This situation requires a means of computing the flux across the two non-conformal interface zones of each mesh interface.
