16.3.6 Additional Scalar Equations

Depending upon your problem definition, additional scalar equations may be involved in your solution. In the case of turbulence quantities, a single set of transport equations is solved, and the turbulence variables (e.g., $k$ and $\epsilon$ or the Reynolds stresses) are shared by the phases throughout the field.
