Investigation of Negative Neutral Beam Injection profiles in DTT:
Joint CNPS-DTT Internship carried out at the ENEA C.R. Frascati from June 28 till August 13, 2021.
Description: The research plan includes the analysis of the low/high velocity limits of the linearized
collision integral that allow constructing a proper collision operator for supra-thermal ion beams produced by
Negative Neutral Beam Injection as foreseen in DTT. The time dependent solution of the Fokker-Planck equation
will be solved by means of the Green's function approach. This will then be applied to the case of model injection
profiles for DTT NNBI. Suitable orbit averaged collision terms will be constructed for the use in long time scale
simulation of energetic particle transport in DTT. Link (pwd protected) to the
