Gentili utenti,

a seguito della diffusione a livello mondiale di una notizia relativa alla scoperta di un nuovo bug, che avrebbe potuto compromettere 
la sicurezza dell’intera infrastruttura ENEAGRID, nella giornata di oggi, si è reso necessario un intervento di manutenzione straordinaria 
per impedire preventivamente ogni rischio.

Di seguito un resoconto della situazione:

- Il cluster XCRESCO, risultando non vulnerabile al bug, era e resta disponibile.
- La mitigazione sui cluster CRESCO4F, CRESCO4C è stata completamente rilasciata. I due cluster sono quindi disponibili.
- La mitigazione sui cluster CRESCO7 e CRESCO8 è in corso di rilascio, le code di sottomissione sono state inattivate, si è in attesa della terminazione dei job in corso per eseguire le ultime operazioni di sicurezza. I cluster quindi non sono ancora disponibili.

- La mitigazione sui frontend cresco-in, cresco-io  è stata completamente rilasciata e quindi sono disponibili.
- La mitigazione sul frontend cresco-ondemand è in corso di ultimazione.
- La mitigazione sui frontend dei singoli cluster CRESCO7 e CRESCO8 (cresco[7-8]x[001-002] e cresco8-gpu01)  è stata completamente rilasciata. Questa attività ha comportato un riavvio dei nodi e quindi una terminazione di tutte le sessioni utente. I frontend quindi sono di nuovo disponibili.

Seguirà ulteriore comunicazione al termine dei lavori di mitigazione.

Dear users,

following the worldwide dissemination of news regarding the discovery of a new bug that could potentially have compromised the security of the entire ENEAGRID infrastructure, an extraordinary maintenance intervention was required today to proactively prevent any risk.

Please find below a status update:

 - The XCRESCO cluster, not being vulnerable to the bug, was and remains available.
 - The mitigation on the CRESCO4F and CRESCO4C clusters has been fully deployed. Both clusters are therefore available.
 - The mitigation on the CRESCO7 and CRESCO8 clusters is currently being deployed. The submission queues have been disabled, and we are waiting for the running jobs to complete before carrying out the final security operations. These clusters are therefore not yet available.
 - The mitigation on the cresco-in and cresco-io frontends has been fully deployed and they are therefore available.
 - The mitigation on the cresco-ondemand frontend is being finalized.
 - The mitigation on the individual CRESCO7 and CRESCO8 cluster frontends (cresco[7-8]x[001-002] and cresco8-gpu01) has been fully deployed. This activity required a reboot of the nodes and therefore caused the termination of all user sessions. The frontends are now available again.

A further communication will follow once the mitigation activities have been completed.
