Gentili utenti,
in funzione dell'avvenuta apertura del cluster CRESCO 8 di Portici a tutti gli utenti in data 28/07/2025, si rammentano le seguenti limitazioni che vedranno coinvolti i servizi del cluster CRESCO 6:

1) I servizi di assistenza/ticketing e i servizi di backup sul filesystem GPFS relativi al cluster CRESCO 6 decadranno alla data del 30 settembre 2025;
2) L'area scratch utente di GPFS di CRESCO 6 (/gporq2/scratch_0/usr/<username>) non sarà oggetto di sincronizzazione o di trasferimento sul nuovo filesystem LUSTRE*;
3) Il cluster CRESCO 6 rimarrà disponibile all'uso con le limitazioni sopra indicate.

*si suggerisce, all'utente interessato a migrare sul filesystem LUSTRE di CRESCO 8 i file residenti nell'area scratch, di copiare i file in oggetto nella propria area store di GPFS di CRESCO 6 nel rispetto del limite della quota disponibile.

Dear users,
Due to the opening of the CRESCO 8 Portici cluster to all users on July 28, 2025, please be reminded of the following limitations affecting the CRESCO 6 cluster services:

1) Support/ticketing services and backup services on the GPFS filesystem for the CRESCO 6 cluster will expire on September 30, 2025;
2) The CRESCO 6 GPFS user scratch area (/gporq2/scratch_0/usr/<username>) will not be synchronized or migrated to the new LUSTRE filesystem*;
3) The CRESCO 6 cluster will remain available for use with the limitations listed above.

*Users interested in migrating files residing in the scratch area to the CRESCO 8 LUSTRE filesystem are advised to copy the files in question to their CRESCO 6 GPFS storage area, subject to the available quota limit.
