Gentili utenti,
a valle della comunicazione di ieri, con la quale è stata annunciata l’apertura del nuovo cluster CRESCO8 di Portici a tutti gli utenti, si comunica anche che è stato approntato un nuovo servizio di trasferimento dati da e verso gli storage LUSTRE e AFS, anche da rete esterna all’ENEA.

Tale servizio, basato su due server di I/O, in modalità round-robin è accessibile attraverso l'alias
cresco-io.portici.enea.it.

Questo sistema, alla stregua di quanto già avviene per cresco-scp.portici.enea.it per il mondo CRESCO6/GPFS/AFS, permetterà di eseguire operazioni di trasferimento dati solo attraverso i seguenti comandi:
- scp
- sftp
- rsync
- rclone

Maggiori dettagli verranno forniti alla presentazione di settembre di CRESCO8.
Vi comunichiamo, inoltre, che contestualmente al termine dei servizi di assistenza e backup relativi al cluster CRESCO6, previsti per la data del 30 settembre 2025, sarà dismesso anche il servizio di trasferimento dati fornito da cresco-scp.portici.enea.it.

Ricordiamo che tuttavia il cluster CRESCO6 resterà comunque disponibile per l’utilizzo, anche se privo del supporto tecnico e dei servizi di backup attualmente attivi.

Dear users,
following yesterday’s announcement regarding the opening of the new CRESCO8 cluster in Portici to all users, we would like to inform you that a new service has also been made available for transferring data to and from the LUSTRE and AFS storage systems, including from networks external to ENEA.

This service, based on two I/O servers operating in round-robin mode, is accessible via the alias:
cresco-io.portici.enea.it

This system, similar to what is already in place with cresco-scp.portici.enea.it for the CRESCO6/GPFS/AFS environment, allows data transfers exclusively using the following commands:
	•	scp
	•	sftp
	•	rsync
	•	rclone

Further details will be provided during the CRESCO8 presentation in September.

We also inform you that, in line with the termination of support and backup services for the CRESCO6 cluster scheduled for September 30, 2025, the data transfer service provided by cresco-scp.portici.enea.it will also be decommissioned.

Please note that the CRESCO6 cluster will remain available for use, even though it will no longer be supported by technical assistance or backup services.
