 Oggetto: Interruzione sistemi HPC di Portici per manutenzione dal 31 Ottobre al 3 Novembre / Portici HPC

 Per lavori di manutenzione sulla componente di alimentazione elettrica
 dal 31 Ottobre al 3 Novembre l’infrastruttura ENEAGRID del centro di Portici subirà un fermo.
 Per tale motivo i seguenti nodi/servizi saranno interrotti e ripristinati nel piu' breve tempo possibile:
 - Nodi computazionali dei cluster CRESCO6 (le relative code di sottomissione di LSF saranno inattivate a
 partire da oggi 30 Ottobre);
 - Nodi grafici e a grande memoria afferenti al centro di Portici (cresco6-nvi[1,2], cresco4-fg[1,2],
 cresco4-nvi1, cresco-nvi[1,2], cresco4sm[01-04]);
 - Nodi per l’acquisizione/gestione dati del cluster MongoDB (con relativa interruzione delle attività
 progettuali);
 - Nodi per l’acquisizione/gestione dati del cluster WebCrawler (con relativa interruzione delle attività
 progettuali);
 - Servizio ThinLinc/FARO;
 - File system locale ad alte prestazioni GPFS di Portici (gporq2, gporq3).
 Comunicheremo all’utenza l’eventuale riattivazione di ognuno dei servizi sopraelencati appena possibile.
 Ricordiamo che resteranno disponibili nella infrastruttura ENEAGRID:
 - Simulazioni ad per attività progettuali ad Alta Affidabilità;
 - I due sistemi HPC CRESCO4F e CRESCO4C, distribuiti rispettivamente, sui due centri Frascati e Casaccia;
 - File system geograficamente distribuito AFS;
 - File system locale ad alte prestazioni GPFS di Frascati (gfrai0, gfrai1);
 - File system locale ad alte prestazioni GPFS di Casaccia (gcasi0);
 - Salvo interruzioni sulla rete, le licenze per l’utilizzo di alcuni software. Un elenco non esaustivo dei
 software/prodotti interessati e' il seguente: ANSYS, MATLAB v2015a, PGI, TOTALVIEW, IDL 8.7, INTEL, MATCAD,
 SIMFLOW, AUTODESK, BIOVIA_MS;
 Gli amministratori di CRESCO/ENEAGRID

 For maintenance work on the electrical supply component
 from October 31st to November 3rd the ENEAGRID infrastructure in the center of Portici will be shut down.
 For this reason the following nodes/services will be interrupted and restored as soon as possible:
 - Computational nodes of the CRESCO6 clusters (the related LSF submission queues will be inactivated starting
 today 30 October);
 - Graphic and large memory nodes pertaining to the center of Portici (cresco6-nvi[1,2], cresco4-fg[1,2],
 cresco4-nvi1, cresco-nvi[1,2], cresco4sm[01-04]) ;
 - Nodes for data acquisition/management of the MongoDB cluster (with relative interruption of project
 activities);
 - Nodes for data acquisition/management of the WebCrawler cluster (with relative interruption of project
 activities);
 - ThinLinc/FARO Service;
 - Portici GPFS high performance local file system (gporq2, gporq3).
 We will notify users of any reactivation of each of the services listed above as soon as possible.
 We remind you that the following will remain available in the ENEAGRID infrastructure:
 - Simulations for High Availability project activities;
 - The two HPC systems CRESCO4F and CRESCO4C, distributed respectively in the two centers Frascati and Casaccia;
 - AFS geographically distributed file system;
 - Frascati high performance local file system GPFS(gfrai0, gfrai1);
 - Casaccia high performance local file system GPFS (gcasi0).
 - Except for network interruptions, licenses for the use of some software. A non-exhaustive list of affected
 software/products is as follows: ANSYS, MATLAB v2015a, PGI, TOTALVIEW, IDL 8.7, INTEL, MATCAD, SIMFLOW,
 AUTODESK, BIOVIA_MS;
