LCD CIRCUIT
Shown above is the circuit diagram for the connections between the LCD module and the PCB.
It is important to note that the software used in these tutorials to control the LCD reflects the physical connections between the PICmicro MCU and the LCD as illustrated.
In real-life situations and other circuits, it is permissible to use other PICmicro MCU port lines for this purpose, but the controlling bits and bytes of the software must be changed accordingly. Again in real-life, the resistors between the PICmicro MCU and LCD are not required - they are included here purely for development board convenience.
Note that the first time the LCD is used with the demo PCB, the contrast control VR2 should be adjusted until the display is clearly visible.
