This product comes with four ' Student Notes' PDF files, they are in the pdf folder in the root directory of the Matrix Java CD Rom.

These 'Student Notes' summarise what a student will have learnt in each section of the course. We have deliberately changed the examples to get the student to apply the concepts to new types of items and situations.

The student should read carefully through the notes and make sure that everything makes sense. At various points we have inserted Programming Points. These are a bit of professional expertise which we have gained from years at the "coal face" writing programs. The student should take note of the things we mention here, they will help them move from being a mere "programmer" to a "software engineer".

The PDF files can be printed out by the course coordinators and distributed to students in whatever manner is appropriate.
