After a short delay for loading a Java Applet should open in the space below... |
You should see a button marked "Click me", and a "The Java applet is working" message. You can click on the button to change the message.

If the applet fails to appear, or appears as a grey box, you will need to check that you have Java enabled on your browser. In Internet Explorer, select Tools, Internet Options. If the Java is still not working you may need to install/re-install the Java Virtual Machine. If your browser does not have have the Java Virtual machine installed it may ask for the Virtual Machine to be installed. Point the setup program at the folder from which the browser was originally installed. (This will require the CD ROM from which the browser was installed). If the Java applet, and the Menu applet are running slowly you may benefit from installing a more recent version of the Java Virtual Machine. A recent version of the Java Virtual Machine can be found
in the MICROSOFTVM directory of this CD ROM.
